These decorative beads were inspired by the idea of sacrifices made during winter for the sun to rise again and the spatter on snow when blood is released from its warm body to fertilise the earth as a gift to the old gods, embellished with blood red ceramic glass and Tigers eye beads with an option of Viking runes as well as nickel silver charms and a few tastefully scattered rose gold spacer beads.
 
In History Viking beads were not only seen as forms of beautiful decoration but also as a way of showing off their wealth and even more interestingly a form of rudimentary currency, as metal was a more rare substance during the viking era it has been documented that when purchasing goods vikings may break off bits of metal from their beads and use them to pay for their purchase.
 
Expose glow in the dark beads to sunlight and you will reveal that in the dark they have a mystical green glow!
